The FREILUFT wood-fired oven sits on the kitchen run, finished in the color of your kitchen, and bakes with real wood.
01 The oven
The built-in pizza oven of a FREILUFT kitchen is a wood-fired oven, 31 1/2 in (800 mm) wide, with a stainless steel baking chamber and a glass door. It is mounted on a cabinet of the kitchen run, so it becomes part of the architecture instead of an appliance set on the counter.
You fire it with wood and bake pizza and bread in it. Combine it with the wood-fired grill, a kamado or built-in gas appliances in one plan.
02 Baking chamber
Inside is a baking chamber of V4A-grade stainless steel with a fireclay base. The oven has a removable front door with a ceramic glass window, a built-in thermometer for the baking chamber and a hook-on ash drawer.
You can watch the fire through the glass and read the temperature without opening the door. When the fire is out and the ash has cooled, the drawer comes off for emptying.
03 Modules
The oven measures 31 1/2 in wide, 41 3/4 in high and 23 5/8 in deep (800 × 1060 × 600 mm). It has a housing of 5/32 in (4 mm) marine-grade aluminum, powder-coated in your chosen color, with an aluminum hood and a stainless steel chimney outlet. The oven is fixed to the cabinet below through pre-drilled holes in the stone worktop.
Its height matches the grill-and-fire element, so oven and fire line up on the worktop. The cabinets below belong to the PureAlu Cabinetry System: 5/16 in (8 mm) marine-grade aluminum, made to order for your outdoor kitchen.
04 Placement
Every grill-and-fire element and the wood-fired oven need a draw tube, and under a roof or covering a roof duct is required. The draw tube is a stainless steel pipe with an inner diameter of 8 7/8 in (225 mm), finished in Jet Black as standard. The manufacturer requires safe distances from combustible materials and compliance with all applicable fire safety regulations.
Whether the oven stands by the pool, on a terrace or under a covered patio, we plan its position, the draw tube and local requirements with your architect and licensed partners. We currently plan kitchens in Florida, starting in Miami.
The oven measures 31 1/2 in wide, 41 3/4 in high and 23 5/8 in deep (800 × 1060 × 600 mm). It sits on a cabinet run with a counter height of 36 5/8 to 38 1/4 in (930 to 970 mm) and a depth of 23 5/8 in (600 mm).
That depends on the wood, the weather and what you want to bake. The oven has a built-in thermometer for the baking chamber, so you can see when it is ready. At handover, we walk you through the kitchen and light the first fire with you.
Every grill-and-fire element and the wood-fired oven need a draw tube, and under a roof or covering a roof duct is required. Under a roof, the manufacturer specifies a roof duct for the draw tube and a flue height of at least 8 ft 2 3/8 in (2.5 m), installed by a certified local professional. Yes. Both sit on the worktop at the same height, each with its own draw tube, so they can be planned into one kitchen. We check the layout with the manufactory during design. See the wood-fired grill.
The oven has a hook-on ash drawer: once the fire is out and the ash has cooled, lift it off and empty it. Clean aluminum and the coating with mild soapy water, clean natural stone without acids, and lubricate the hinges twice a year.
Pricing depends on the whole kitchen: the run the oven sits on, the fire elements, the stone and the finish. We give you a fixed quote after the design.
