Gas and fire in one plan

A built-in gas grill makes your outdoor kitchen quick to use on a weeknight. The wood-fired grill is there for evenings with time. In a FREILUFT kitchen, both can stand in one plan. How they compare is explained in our guide gas vs charcoal grill.

Cabinets, fronts, worktops, storage and the grill-and-fire element come from Germany; built-in gas and electric appliances are US-certified appliances sourced in the United States. We choose the appliances with you and plan cut-outs, gas and power around them.

02 Appliances

Outdoor kitchen appliances that fit the system

  • Gas grill: appliance cabinets 47 1/4 or 63 in (1200 or 1600 mm) wide with holders for a built-in or a top-mounted gas grill
  • Side burner and cooktop: square and round cut-outs in the worktop for built-in cooking appliances such as a side burner or a cooktop, held by support bars beneath the stone
  • Griddle: griddle holders for a 31 1/2 in (800 mm) cabinet, with a precision-finished cut-out and a brushed stainless steel cover
  • Refrigerator: a refrigerator module 23 5/8 or 31 1/2 in (600 or 800 mm) wide, prepared for an undercounter refrigerator, with a stainless steel housing and a front panel in the cabinet color
  • Refrigerator drawers: to be confirmed for the modular system
  • Sink: a water module 23 5/8 or 31 1/2 in (600 or 800 mm) wide, with an undermount sink in stainless steel or black composite, or a basalt stone basin

Each of these modules is part of the PureAlu Cabinetry System. A kamado and the wood-fired oven have their own places in the plan.

03 Gas and power

Gas and power

Propane or natural gas? That depends on your site and on the grill you choose. Where a propane tank is stored and ventilated, or how a natural gas line reaches the kitchen, is settled during planning with licensed partners.

The gas grill holders include a cut-out in the stone worktop, a perforated ventilation floor panel and two push-to-open doors in the cabinet color. Appliances and lighting draw power from an electrical module inside the cabinets, with outlet positions set when you order. Gas and electrical connections on site are made by licensed professionals.

04 Brands

Brands we supply

Every built-in appliance is a US-certified model, sourced in the United States and installed by Florida-licensed contractors. The brands we work with will be listed here. Our guide shows how to compare outdoor kitchen brands.

05 Warranty

Two warranties, clearly separated

Built-in appliances carry the warranty of their manufacturer. It is separate from the warranty by Ensch Outdoor Living LLC and from the cabinets, which come from the FREILUFT manufactory.

At handover you receive a care kit and the warranty documents, and we register your appliances with their manufacturers.
